By accessing and using Curiate ("Service"), operated by Curiate LLC, an Oregon limited liability company, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
Curiate is a content curation platform that provides personalized recommendations for news articles, videos, and books based on your interests and preferences. We aggregate content from various third-party sources to provide personalized recommendations.
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account using Google or Apple authentication. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

The Service aggregates content from third-party sources. We do not claim ownership of the content provided by these sources. All content remains the property of its respective owners.
The Curiate platform, including its design, features, and algorithms, is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Curiate lets you create and publish curations, comment on and vote on curations, message and connect with friends, and choose a username. This section governs that content ("User Content").
Ownership and license. You retain ownership of the User Content you create. By posting User Content, you grant Curiate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, distribute, and promote it as part of operating the Service — including on public, search-engine-indexable pages when you choose to publish a curation. When you publish a curation, you may choose to credit it under your username or publish it anonymously as Curiate; either way you remain its author of record.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not post or send User Content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
Filtering, reporting, and blocking. User Content is automatically screened before it is published. You can report objectionable content or abusive users, and block other users, at any time from within the app. We review reports and act on them promptly.
Enforcement. We may remove or unpublish any User Content, and suspend or terminate any account, that we determine violates these Terms — without prior notice where we believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
Curiate is free to use — the public curation library and Discover (an instant match from that library) are available to everyone at no cost. Curiate Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks Personal curations: a curation generated just for you, on demand.

On web/Android: subscriptions are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) and can be managed from the in-app subscription screen.

By using Curiate — including browsing public curation pages or playing an embedded video without an account — you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Wikipedia content is provided under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 License. Open Library data is provided by the Internet Archive under open access terms.
The Service is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or recommendations provided through the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Curiate LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Oregon.
